Just visited an interesting thread at American Preppers Network. Someone experienced trouble opening an #10 can from Honeyville.

This got me to thinking.
How many can openers should preppers have on hand?
Should we have different types?

My personal choices:
1. My kitchen standard, a Pamper Chef that cuts on the side.

2. At least 2 inexpensive swingline styled. (One is in our camper.)

3. Mini can opener I grabbed while in Walmart last year. This one is in our Bug Out box of #10 cans.

4. Each member of our family has either a P38 or P51. My husband and I carry our on our key chains. Our sons keep theirs in their BOBs.

Finally, here's a tip from Cody Lundin on how to open a tuna can without a can opener!

Any what you "cut it" getting into a can of food, during a chaotic collapse, is not something you want to have to worry about!
