I just wanted to see if there were others out there that may have family members especially spouses that do not believe in prepping and how you dealt with it.

I would hate to leave them behind but I am going to be prepared and be off to my BOL with or without them when SHTF.

Having non-preppers in your family is a concern many of us face. I'm blessed, my DH (LFOD to those who don't know) and I are a prepping team. We've gotten my parents on board. A few other family members are awake enough to have a small amount of food in storage.

It's heartbreaking to think about your family waking up too late. Do your best to warn them, then PRAY...PRAY...PRAY for them!

I have hopes and prayers that they will too.
They have no problem with me doing it all, especially readying our BOL and they will show up when the time arises. Prepping for one's self is a large enough task, but doing it solo for a family is merely impossible.

I think you'll be ok.

I don't expect a quick SHTF scenario.

I expect an increasing inflation rate as the dollar collapses (via printing to pay the interest on our expanding debt).

A total economic collapse could take a good year or so, once it starts to unwind.

There will be time to get others on board with moving out if needed.

I Hope you're right, I think it could go either way.

I hope so too!

Well, it's always best to be prepared for various types of events.

At least he/she has a running start, which is more than most people have.

I'm alone in my preparations as well.

I actually thought about buying my parents and brother a few super pails of food for Christmas, but they already think I'm weird enough already. :)

So I talked to a fellow prepper today and was told to use reverse psychology on them.

Since I bought the bug out vehicle, land, guns, ammo, food, water, and am busting my butt to prepare the land to be a BOL, and they just see it as I am a nut with lots of cool stuff, tell them they can use the land and shoot my guns but it will cost them either $$ or preferably labor to work on the land getting it ready. When they are ready to ride the ATVs, go hunting or anything that has to do with the land, they go for a weekend, work on Saturday and play on Sunday. When the time comes, I will have had the resources to prepare for the family and will be able to accommodate them when they arrive. Now looking for fair priced conex containers to bury.
