I use a rotational 1 year food storage system.
These are 5 recipes that we use to help stretch our food budget. All the ingredients could be pulled from our food storage.

 

This one's title is silly but the point is a good one to be made.

That was a MRE for 4.. 

LOL, I know it kinda cracked me up but I remember when we had those bad floods a few years ago, there were some people stranded could have only dreamed of having such a flavorful kit of food in their car. Sad part is with our summer heats, we can't keep anything like this in our vehicles. I don't know a way around the heat when food is concerned.

That was my thought exactly. If only we could keep something like that in the car.

We do have something similar that we keep by the back door, we just grab the bag and take it with us when ever we are going out. Then bring it back in when we get home.
