MYSTRY UNLEASHED --- 7 years ago -

I have no problem with the stockpiling of foodstuffs and weaponry at all, but I do have a work ethic: Work Smarter not Harder!

When the stuff hits the fan and chaos and apocalypse reign in terror upon the land, I being a simple man will utilize a simple plan…

After a few days of dust settling and stabilization I will realize that I am now hungry, tired and in danger of extinction, and a call to action is necessitated.

Here is my plan…

Hear me now Oh Lord I pray
Manna & Quail must drop today
First drop seven last drop at eight
Spicy Chicken Quail would be just great!
Honey cinnamon manna upon my plate?

I also read that you feed by Raven
When he brings my lunch, should my hands be wavin’?
Will he snatch happy meals from Mickey D’s,
Or pluck some grubs from off some trees?
How you do it will be just fine
A nice added touch would be some wine.

Amen… and thanks in advance

A quick bullet to the head will likewise be effective.

Leave it to you to make me smile over the concerns about starvation

I have been watching a lot of the Doomsday Prepper Nat Geo documentary's

When they showed some folk who have enough food stockpiled for 20 years, they claim. I got stoked, jazzed & excited about it. That was an unbelievably cool concept for me to try and conceptualize in my mind. Talk about comfort food? One couple dehydrate corn and say it is sweet and like candy... I will find me some dehydrated corn... i wanna try it out, it sounded so good.

Anyhow i had no idea nor had heard of all this until i came to this thread but am fascinated with it

20 years supply... That got my attention. Thats Prepping!!!

as compared to my...

last second or even afterthought prepping.. lol

Now where to find dehydrated corn?

Looked like she was dehydrating her own. There are many choices of dehydrators. We have a 20 year old Ronco. Not the best, but it's what we've got. I plan on investing in an Excalibur someday soon!

You can also buy in from online companies. Just google "dehydrated corn."

MYSTRY UNLEASHED --- 7 years ago -

lol i am mystry i do not want to dehydrate it myself, i want someone else to and let me try it out... lol

other nite a dude shared his dehydrated fruits with me and i did think about getting me a dehydrator... not sure if or how quickly i will act on it though.

I wasn't kidding when i said i like to work smarter not harder

others dehydrate
i eat it

cant get any better than that lol x 4

No that is overkill and a waste of resources.

The average prepper plans for 1 - 2 years of being off grid and without conveniences.

I think this is a case of multiple definitions.
I suspect YOU CAN be off the grid. J/k ;)

I this case, I'm referring to an interruption power. Many preppers try to be prepared to survive without electricity. i.e. cooking, cleaning, sanitation, lighting, etc. A downed power grid can be due to an EMP, natural disaster, terrorist attack, etc. It can be short OR long term. Our power grid is more vulnerable than most people think.

After Hurricane Ike, we were without power for 10 days. We barely noticed b/c we'd prepared with a generator and plenty of fuel. Of course a long term power outage is something we'd worked on since.

Here's a thread I did on Cooking Off Grid

My ultimate prep plan includes looking into the best possible combination of wind, solar and electromagnetic electricity producers.

Would appreciate any tips from any who have already looked deeply into it.

Thanks
